Natasha Jamal

Vice President

Mastercard Strive

Natasha leads the new global small business program Strive for the Center. She originally joined Mastercard in 2013 to head up communications for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), based in Dubai. As part of her role, she oversaw internal, external, and digital communications, as well as the company’s CSR efforts across the division. She also played a key role in shaping Mastercard’s financial inclusion narrative. Natasha then moved to London where she drew on her Communications background to help drive cultural integration of a number of global companies that had been acquired by Mastercard.

Prior to joining Mastercard, Natasha worked at global communications consultancy Hill + Knowlton Strategies; she started her career in Kenya where she managed pan-African external communications for some of the agency’s largest clients. She then moved to Dubai where she worked with several regional clients spanning the technology, food and beverage and consumer goods sectors, who were operating across MENA.

Natasha has also worked at the Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto and has reported for a number of print/broadcast media in Canada and East Africa. She holds a Bachelor’s of Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa and a post-graduate Certificate in Corporate Communications from Seneca College in Toronto.
