Shabnam is responsible for supporting IMK team members with the development and execution of programs, partnerships and initiatives across international markets and coordinating all team reporting and governance processes. 

Shabnam Akhter joins the Center for Inclusive Growth as Social Impact Manager, IMK. In this role, Shabnam will work on the development of and execution of programs and partnerships across international markets and coordinating all team reporting and governance processes.

Shabnam joins us from the Social Impact team at Uber, where she oversaw the grant-making process for community partners, supported Uber's response to the war in Ukraine and drove economic empowerment initiatives for drivers and small businesses. Prior to her role at Uber, Shabnam was part of the marketing operations team at Apple Europe.

Shabnam recently completed her Master’s thesis at University College London (UCL), focusing on the role of fintechs in driving financial health and well-being in Bangladesh. In her spare time, Shabnam enjoys reading, listening to podcasts and spending time with her cat. Shabnam is based in East London.
