Planning & Operations

Yasmeen Allen Martei joins the Center for Inclusive Growth and Sustainability (CFIG&S) teams as the Director, Planning and Operations. With a focus on the Mastercard Impact Fund compliance, tracking and support, Yasmeen’s remit also includes managing operations and ensuring uniformity and standards across the CFIG & Sustainability teams.

She will assist with strategic planning and is responsible for the coordination and production of the quarterly Mastercard Impact Fund board meeting and ongoing CFIG&S’ reporting

Yasmeen has more than a decade of experience working with philanthropies as a nonprofit fundraiser and foundation administrator.  She joins us from the President’s Office of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, where she led the strategic planning processes for the Presidential Initiatives, co-led the planning and execution of the Board of Trustees’ annual learning trips, managed the Presidential and cross-programmatic budgets, and managed the foundation’s art acquisition processes.  

Prior to Mellon, she worked at the Ford Foundation, where she similarly managed team grantmaking budgets, assessed their strategic alignment, and engaged in the strategic planning processes for multi-million-dollar initiatives.

Yasmeen earned a B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where she received the J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro University Public Service Award and the J.W. Saxe Memorial Prize. She is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.  Yasmeen hails from New York and resides in Montclair, New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
