It was established through the generosity of MasterCard Worldwide at the time of the company’s initial public offering in 2006. The MasterCard Foundation advances financial inclusion and youth learning in Africa.At the Mastercard Foundation, they know that&nbsp;employment is a leading pathway out of poverty for&nbsp;young people&nbsp;and&nbsp;their families. In Africa,&nbsp;the world’s youngest&nbsp;continent,&nbsp;youth employment is a particularly important&nbsp;measure of&nbsp;poverty reduction.Africa’s young people are building a better future for the continent, but they cannot do it alone.
