Palestinians need a reimagined payments system to rebuild their economy

The United Nations estimates it will cost $20B to rebuild postwar Gaza, which requires collaboration between Israel, the United States, and regional stakeholders. In addition to international pressure for a two-state solution and physical infrastructure rebuilding, there is critical need to transform the financial architecture in Palestinian territories, where reliance on cash-based systems due to restricted money movement is still prevalent.
