Despite recent advances in wage digitization, 6 out of 10 wage earners in low- and lower-middle-income countries still receive wages in cash. This session highlights how digital wage payments, when provided responsibly, can enable workers to have better control over their wages and use associated financial services for more secure income, resilience, and economic opportunities.
